Is there a way to improve internet browsing in a Bl-Ray device

We have a Sony Blu-Ray model BDP-S590.  The device software version is M12.R.0510.  The Blu-Ray is connected via wireless and we can have access to it remotely.  However, the Internet navigation is weak; tedious to work with.  We were wondering if someone in EE has had some experience in improving a blu-Ray device in this area.  Any advice or opinion greatly appreciated.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

sometimes if you go to the manufacturers site you can get a firmware update that can improve this experience but otherwise you are pretty much left up to the whim of the manufacturer

Yeah, done that prior placing the question; no success.

Maybe some sort of tweaking that can permit us via WiFi  to use our celular as a remote (which we do at this time, but the browsing part is super slow), and somehow browse the internet better.

Ok lets see if any other EE input.
