why cant i copy and paste a pdf into a word doc?
Are you using Adobe Reader X? If so, try going to Edit - Preferences - General. Uncheck the "Enable Protected Mode on Startup" check box.

Kanti... here is an example of a pdf that she cannot copy and paste or drop and drag from her email into a word doc..

I could copy and paste for the same file.
try to save as to a new file name and try it out.
Also check if content copying is allowed by going to to
File - Properties - Security and -content copying allowed

I tried that fix Kanti and it did not work. I have allowed the copying.

If the pdf is read-only then you will not be able to copy it. If you wish you can attach both the file if the data is not sensitive and I will you why exactly you cannot copy.
