backup to onedrive

We have OneDrive with 1TB of storage per user.  Is it possible to use the Windows backup utility to backup the documents onto OneDrive weekly or daily?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Do your users have Windows 8.1?  If so, it's a built-in feature.  See the following for illustrated instructions:

http://www.gottabemobile.com/2014/03/30/how-to-back-up-files-and-settings-to-onedrive-in-windows-8-1-2/

Otherwise, there should be no problem using Windows backup.  It works well.  But what I've done for my clients is remapped their Documents, Pictures, Music folders etc to folders inside the cloud folder.  That way, the default save location for their files will be automatically backed up to the cloud in real time.
