Jquery: ignore number in attribute when selecting an element

Hi Experts,

I am trying to create a generic selector ignore a number... I want to select all these fields...

<input type="number" name="Product[0][Quantity]">
<input type="number" name="Product[1][Quantity]">
<input type="number" name="Product[2][Quantity]">
<input type="number" name="Product[3][Quantity]">
<input type="number" name="Product[4][Quantity]">

This selector obviously doesnt work

$('[name="Product[][Quantity]"]').value('Please wait');

Any ideas?

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Hi,
this selector should work:
$('[id^="Product["][id$="][Quantity]"]')

Open in new window

It selects all elements where the id starts with "Product[" and ends with "][Quantity]"
