Hi Experts,<br />

I am configuring up my first router. it is a draytek Vigor2860n it is going to be a replacement for a modem + older router we have.<br />
<br />
the idea is the router is going to have a BT infinity line go straight into it.<br />
<br />
I should be okay with all the config because its identical to the other one plus BT talked me through it before.<br />
<br />
my question is how do I initially connect to it? I know this might sound like a dumb question but with regards to the other one, I put a local IP address in which is on a 10.1.1.1 range. how do I connect to start the config?<br />
<br />
I have plugged it into my switch and done a netscan but cant see an IP at all.<br />

Draytek Vigor2860n config

A router is a networking device that forwards data packets between computer networks. Routers perform the "traffic directing" functions on the Internet. The most familiar type of routers are home and small office cable or DSL routers that simply pass data, such as web pages, email, IM, and videos between computers and the Internet. Hardware Firewalls
