Can I make I.E. automatically refresh in the code not using F5 key

I have a jquery menu that works fine in all browsers initially. Then if the F5 or CTRL F5 key is used in I.E. to referesh the page it does not show up.  I have to go back to the URL and hit enter again to make it come up.

Is there some way to put a line of code in the page that it would auto refresh when the refresh key is hit.  Chrome and Firefox do not do this behavior only I.E. and it does it in 9, 10 & 11 versions.  I can't control the users browsers so I need something I can put in the page to stop this from happening.

Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I would skip this trick honestly.
Can't you fix it? It looks more like a execution order problem or something like that.

Are you using ajax to populate the menu?
Does this menu depend on anything else other than static CSS?
Is the display (hide/show) of the menu depend on something else?

In my dreamweaver software I see a note that javascript is frozen when I hit f5 in that development tool.

If it's frozen probably is because you have a javascript error.

Can you simply debug in directly in the browser dev tools (F12) and see what it says?

I was able to debug this using the developer tools like you said.  It was a javascript error.
