You would need to

1. Make sure the VM is set to BRIDGED Networking Mode.

2. Specify the PROXY Address in the VM OS, or Browser settings.

VMware Workstation use NAT Networking by default. Change the Network (Preferences for the Server Guest) to Bridged Networking.

Remember your Server is trying to be DHCP server and you may need to disable this.

thanks I changed the network adapter from NAT to Bridged and when I try to connect the internet, it asked me a authorized user and password for domain so I typed my username and password in our domain so it works..it took the ip address from the domaın so there is a box under Bridged and it says " Replicate physical network connection state" what does it mean?

It just means the Bridged network is using the Host Network to get out to the outside world.
