Why is this part of my menu not hidden?

Head out to http://brucegust.com/portfolio/verizon/.

When you first click on the menu in the upper right hand corner, then click on regions -> Central Texas, you'll notice that there are two sub categories that are visible as seen here:

That shouldn't be the case. If you look at my source code, you'll see the following:

//you\'ve got to hide ALL of your levels
$(window).load(function(){
$(\'.altMenu\').hide();
$(\'#regions_sub\').hide();

$(\'#carolinas_sub_level\').hide();
$(\'#carolinas_basement_level\').hide();
$(\'#projects_sub_level\').hide();
$(\'#florida_sub_level\').hide();
$(\'#florida_basement_level\').hide();
$(\'#georgia_sub_level\').hide();
$(\'#georgia_basement_level\').hide();
$(\'#gulf_sub_level\').hide();
$(\'#gulf_basement_level\').hide();
$(\'#central_sub_level\').hide();
$(\'#central_basement_level\').hide();
$(\'#texas_sub_level\').hide();
$(\'#texas_basement_level\').hide

$(\'#planning_sub\').hide();

etc.

Open in new window

These two lines...

$(\'#texas_sub_level\').hide();
$(\'#texas_basement_level\').hide

...represent the part of the menu that's not hidden. It should be, but it isn't.

I can't figure out why. Even the other commands that are associated with the other buttons don't "hide" this part of the menu when they should. If I manually click on Central Texas -> System Performance, the troublesome links are hidden and the rest of the user's experience is fine. In other words, it looks like this:

What am I doing wrong? Seems like this should be a slam dunk, especially since all of my other links / buttons are doing what they're supposed to do and the Javascript is identical in its logic.

What do you think?

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

$(\'#texas_basement_level\').hide

Missing parentheses.

$(\'#texas_basement_level\').hide()
