How could I open a site, pass credentials, and log in from an intranet link?

Hello,
I need to access a site for which I have a single login from multiple computers. Is it possible to have a link on the intranet that starts a script , which opens the site, automatically passes credentials (securely), and logs in? Best scenario would be a seamless experience for the user, with no pop-up boxes, but any solution is welcome.

In the past the company in question made use of a program that used to be installed on a Win2003 box. The software, however, is not compatible with 2008 or 2012.

Thank you for your help!

A proxy that handles the auth and passes the data.

Thanks for your reply, Arnold. Unfortunately our proxy can't do that.
It is not an existing proxy, you have to setup a dedicated proxy (daemon) that does the credential/cookie capture and then pass data.
