RDS Gateway not redirecting

Server 2008 R2 RDS Farm of 5 servers plus 1 gateway. Last week we had an issue were our servers failed over to a secondary cluster. After this fail over the RDS gateway no longer redirects logins to the farm. I moved the servers back to the original cluster and still no redirects. When working RDSGW will forward\redirect logins and load balance according to which server has the least amount of resources used. Now when using the RDSGW it tries to log into itself and since normal users are not allowed access to RDSGW logins fail.

RDGateway does not load balance. That duty is left to the RDCB. If the RDCB is down, you will experience issues as the redirect to the RDCB to load balance will also fail.

The RDGW server is the RDCB as well. We allow no one to remote into that server and thus "user logon mode" is set to "Allow reconnections, but prevent new logons". Under Remote Desktop Session Host Configuration, the connection broker states "Redirector to RD Connection broker". In the properties the RD Connection Broker is RDSGW.

Since production must go on while we troubleshoot we changed the DNS IP address record of the "RDSFarm" to a member of the RDS farm. Now it load balances.

Made the RBGW a RDCB and stopped connection to it and that allowed RBGW to be the GW and the CB.
