If I am reading you correctly, you want to force your site to use SSL only ?

this is what I did,

careated a new site and called it "sitename redirect" and pointed this site to same pysical locaiton under inetpub directory..

my test site is binding a IP address on both 80 and 443
on the redirect site it is binding on 80 only and I started both sites and it says "this web site cannot be started. another site might be using the same port."
do i not need to tell anything else in IIS to make sure it is same site so it does not get confused?
thanks

is there any thing I need to add into my web.config file?

all our sites has additional site called xyz redirect and pysical path is mapped to a web.config file that only has https redirection code in it. ( I believe this is a standard code from internet)
