Forward apache log to Syslog-NG
I need to setup a apache server and forward its log to a centralized syslog-ng
On syslog-ng server, under /etc/syslog-ng/syslog-ng.c onf :
- create a new configuration file, setup the filter and destination for the device, correct ?
Do I need to setup syslog-NG on Apache server ? Where should I configure the apache servers to forward a centralized syslog-ng ?
Tks

Sorry, I can't get your message exactly.
Do I need to install anything on Apache server ?
Which setting in Apache server should I configure ?
Tks again.

No you dont, you need to configure syslog forwarding
Same for nearly any syslog server:
local7.info @sylog-ng-ip-address
Setting called ErrorLog ?
like ErrorLog syslog:local7

Sorry, are you talking about the syslog-ng central server ... no need to setup anything in Apache server, say httpd.conf. Tks

Thx
Access logs go to files.
Any syslog server (rsyslog, syslogd) will do fine to forward logs. Especially preferred should be one included with system by default.
