I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Oh sorry,
Here it comes, I'm trying to understands how this features which available in only sql2012 ent edition would help me with choosing the right edition . we indeed heavily use SSIS currently in sql2008 R2 ent.

Those features are also available in SQL Server 2008R2 Enterprise so you need to find if you aren't already using them.
You can also use those features in Development with SQL Server 2012 Developer Edition to achieve if you really want them.
