Word not setting up bullets properly

My Microsoft word isn't automatically setting up bullet points. It is really frustrating! Ever since I downloaded the Office Professional 2007 on my computer it stopped working.

When I do

1.) then hit enter

It does nothing. I have to manually set it up.

It also isn't automatically creating website links. For example when I type www.google.com it doesn't automatically make it a blue link.

Something isn't working with the setting I believe. Any help you can provide would be great!

Hi,

Go to File / Options Proofing /Autocorrect Options / AutoFormat

and tick Internet and network paths with hyperlinks
 and maybe Automatic bulleted lists

and maybe as well in Autoformat as you type
