LaserJet 4250printer

My page count on this printer is 625,913 can someone tell me when I will need a maint. kit? this printer prints faded prints, if we replace the toner it prints ok for a few pages then gives us faded prints or prints with lines.

Also can anyone suggest where to purchase a reliable  maint. kit

That is not a new printer - I have one at a client. We get a competent but reasonable priced local printer technician to service printers. It probably needs a cleaning kit or maybe fuser. In any event, good service is economical and will keep it going for another 100,000 prints.

Per Michael's post - you now see why I get printer service person to do this. Much better approach for my clients.

You should expect around 225,000 pages before you need to replace the fuser assembly.

Do you know the printer's history?  Could the page count not have been reset when replacing the components?  Are you using OEM toner or compatibles?

Have you looked at any other troubleshooting for the pale output?  There's no harm in carrying out a half self-test functional check to see if you can identify exactly what stage of the imaging process is failing.
if it improves when you put in a different cartridge I wouldn't be wanting to condemn the fuser outright at this point.

See Service Manual for the 4250 pp 381 onwards.

Assuming you need the 110 V version  the maintenance kit P/N Q5421-67901 - where to get it from depends on where you are in the world but I'd suggest you do a bit more troubleshooting first.  If you do buy the kit remember you can get a refund against the core exchange on the old part.
