Mail server Setup on Windows 2012 R2: cannot connect to your outgoing SMTP e-mail server
I have setup a Windows 2012R2 Cloud server at Rackspace.
I have installed the latest 64 bit version of Icewarp on the machine.
I have gone to name.com and setup a mail.X.com A reference to the IP address of the server.
I have gone to the icewarp server and added a new account for x@x.com
In the Cloud Server's firewall, I have added a rule for opening these ports:
Mail: smtp, http, pop3, imap 25,80,110,143
I probably don't need http.
I have gone to my local Outlook and added a new account for x@x.com.
I run the "test"
It errors with:
Outlook cannot connect to your outgoing SMTP e-mail server.
I have tried this test with the Windows Firewall on the cloud server turned off as well.
What am I missing?
thanks!
