Create a Recovery Pen Drive Win8.1
Hi,
How can create a media usb drive to install windows 8.1 on a pc that crash disk and had to install a new drive. I downloaded the Mediacreationtool from Microsoft website, and created a pen with the operating system. Before the disk fails took windows key.
But after boot from pen drive with win 8.1 and starting install, setup ask me windows key. After put windows key setup tell me key is not valid.
For pre installed windows 8.1 (and when disk crashes) where can find windows?

The product key is embedded in the PC's BIOS. You don't need to enter it manually. The version of Windows you are installing must match the version of Windows that was originally installed. If you have downloaded the wrong version of Windows it won't activate. Maybe you should order a recovery stick from your PC's manufacturer. That should work
did your PC come with windows 8.1 ? or did you upgrade, or install it yourself?
If a key doesn't work, you can always use the keys from this article https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj612867.aspx? and after installing, exchange the key for yours, that works.

Your key for "with bing" edition does not work with the downloads from mediacreationtool, I am afraid.
Best would be to make an image file of your hard drive in regular intervals.
If the hdd crashes, insert a new one, restore the image - done.

Order the recovery media from the PC manufacturer.

I have no idea why it "fails at 30%" but when it does, create an image, it's just as good.

Is the key you're using for that specific computer? If it's not for that computer, then it may not work. Manufacturers like HP and Dell use security software to ensure that a PC's install key will only work on that PC itself and no other.
