Linksys NAS - LS QL - can't access NAS shares via hostname or setup page "internal server error"

Can't access NAS hostname shares via Windows 7 Pro clients even with same login as server - "permissions error?". IP works fine but only with permissions of new user (backup).

Locked out of NAS setup - internal server error. This was working the evening before when I added a new local user (backup) to NAS.

Server 2012 accesses hostname fine & MozyPro did successful backup previous evening. Even on server the setup page shows internal server error. Using same logon on server & client but server has not been rebooted whereas the clients have.

NAS firmware is current.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Internal error is a generic term that the web server can't reach any task to fullfill requests.

That may be an indication the either memory is full, or disk storage is full.
did you try ssh / telnet access if available.
If not did you try a reboot through power off/power on?

noci has the first step; cycle the power and see.

I did reboot via power cycle but it has no telnet capabilities on this model.

Client PC was connecting to the NAS the evening before. That's where I added the user. After a reboot we no longer have that capability.

Did you mean to say Buffalo LS QL?  And, if so, which model?
Randy DownsOWNERAuthor Commented:
Yes it's model LS-QL firmware is the latest available 1.10
Davis McCarnOwnerCommented:
There are at least three models of that product; 1D, R5, and L/E, and, without the correct model, we're not going anyplace good!  Post a link to the support page for what you have or the full model number from the unit, OK?
Randy DownsOWNERAuthor Commented:
I asked the user to send me some photos but they won't be back until next week.

The system information screen simply states LS-QL F/W 1.10. The RAID array is 2771.52 G if that helps identify it.

Hostname is LS-QL56C - perhaps the model.

We replaced the NAS but these are good suggestions.
