Over the years I have used various backup providers (Intronis, Vaultlogix, Barracuda, etc). I have even looked at MaxBackup here. I was investigating Crashplan recently, and I am now wondering if I am missing something.
All of the services I listed above have some kind of per-GB plan, the usual some-amount-of-$$-per-GB thing. I look at Crashplan, and it says 'Unlimited data for $10 a month'.
Why would I not just install that on all my servers, and benefit from that huge decrease in backup costs? They talk about versions, constant backups, etc.
Am I missing something here? Why am I paying $30 for 30 GB (or whatever), when I could have 'unlimited' for $10?
