data format in Json

Hi

I am sending the data time date using 2015-02-03 which is yyyy-mm-dd format, but i am getting validation errors saying that the date should be in following fomat
yyyy-mm-dd

actually this is happening when i am calling Api from c# and sending the data in following Json format

 "Details": {
        "name": "My",
        "date": "2015-02-02"
    }
}

could you say me what is wrong in my format of yyyy-mm-dd , is there any other different format in JSON.

JSON does not define a format for types - it is merely a means for expressing an object as a string - there are not types.

If the data is being rejected then it is the receiving API that is throwing it out. You would need to look at the documentation for the API to find out why the validation error is happening.
