SoapUI parameter question with Http Request

Hi,

I just started using SoapUI for Web Service(REST) testing.
I have a resource(operation) as following

http://localhost/EmployeeService/EmployeeService.svc/rest/Department/{departmentid}/manager

In SoapUi request window,
I have:
Method: Get
Endpoint: http://localhost
Resource: /EmployeeService/EmployeeService.svc/rest

And I don't know what to write on Parameters.
In here, 'departmentid' should be a parameter, but how to I add manager at the end?
Now it looks like this

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Hi,

Just follow the below steps to consume a rest service in soupUI

Update the below details in your soupUI app

Endpoint : http://localhost
Resource : /EmployeeService/EmployeeService.svc/rest/Department/{departmentid}/manager

and when you click on the "Parameters" input box you will be asked to input the default "departmentid" value. so provide a valid value

then parameter value will be shown under the parameter section and  then run the request to get response.

Have a look on the attached image which will help you.

let me know if it doesn't work.EE-28694763.png
