i have added a sample menu item "hi" with two drop downs. Two issues:

1. When you move the mouse off level 1, it quickly disappears.
2. it's getting hidden behin the slider. Z-Index does not seem to help.

CSS for the drop down:

/*dropdown, top menu */
.tabs2 ul li ul {\
  z-index:10000;
  padding: 0;
  position: absolute;
  top: 40px;
  left: 295px;
  width: 150px; /* controls width of drop down nav items */
  -webkit-box-shadow: none;
  -moz-box-shadow: none;
  box-shadow: none;
  display: none;
  opacity: 0;
  visibility: hidden;
  -webkit-transiton: opacity 0.2s;
  -moz-transition: opacity 0.2s;
  -ms-transition: opacity 0.2s;
  -o-transition: opacity 0.2s;
  -transition: opacity 0.2s;
}
.tabs2 ul li ul li {
  background: #555!important;
  display: block!important;
  color: #fff!important;
  text-shadow: 0 -1px 0 #000!important;
}
.tabs2 ul li ul li:hover { background: #666; }
.tabs2 ul li:hover ul {
  display: block;
  opacity: 1;
  visibility: visible;
}

I'd like to solve both problems obviously so I can move on to finish the project.

Thank you in advance,

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

addendum to this issue: It appears to be affected only by the jquery slider. I have looked at it on sub pages and it seems to work just fine. It seems it's the slider thats messing up the drop down.
