I am required to use SCCM to upgrade approx 1500 computers from Office 2010 Standard to Pro Plus.
Currently running SCCM 2012 R2 with the latest SP1
As I understand it is recommended to remove Standard completely before installing Pro Plus.
I initially created a package that removes Standard using the Microsoft FixIt tool, then installs Pro Plus, but the licenses fails to activate upon completion. There is something in the FixIt Tool that prevents the license from activating after Pro Plus has been installed, even though the Auto-Activate switch is on.
Are there any suggestions on how best to complete this? Would a task sequence of removing standard, then reboot, then installing pro plus, then reboot, work?
