SCCM Security Permissions to allow Read-Only off Deployment Status?

I need to be able to give a group of users read only to the Deployments section on SCCM 2012 R2.  They only need to be able to view the current installation status of a deployment.

What is the best method to achieve this?

Thanks in advance

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I would recommend using the rbaviewer tool. This will allow you to create roles for SCCM Roles Based Administration as you require.

Thanks for the tip

I downloaded and install the toolkit on my workstation, that has the SCCM console installed.  I then tried to open the RBA Viewer, it says loading for approx 10 minutes and then crashes.

Any ideas?  Do I need to install it on the actual SCCM server?

I haven't tried installing it on a workstation, so don't know whether it should work.

It works on the server.

After much searching it appears that some of the tools in the toolkit no longer work if you upgrade your SCCM 2012 R2 to the latest SP1 that was released in May.

Is there a manual method to create permissions to only view current deployment status?
