Sharepoint 2010 Could not load user profile

Windows 2012 R2 Standard
SQL 2008
IIS 8.5
SharePoint 2010 SP2 FARM

I have 2web applications  defined in SharePoint

 1. http://mysite.mydom.com/
 2, http://sharepointhere.com/

Number 2, Sharepointhere.com works great

1. http://mysite.mydom.com stopped working yesterday.

It was working fine.

Now I get   "Could not load user profile"  every time I try to access it

Thoughts?

Thanks

You seem to be facing a lot of issues with user profile service. Please open user profile service application and go to configure synchronization connections. Check if you have a connection there. If the page is blank, then  you need to create a connection.

Good catch now I remember

The other day I added an Active Directory Connection which allows me to sync my Active Directory with SharePoint that all works in both directions.
I remember when I did that there were no connections listed.

Can I just create another one?
What type should I select?

You don't need to create another one if you already have one. But I feel the sync is not working. Please try an incremental crawl in user profile service. If it doesn't work, can you just filter the logs with respect to user profile and check if there is any error in the field ?

A incremental crawl runs every day at 1:00 AM looking at the stats all looks good

Just ran the incremental crawl again it ran successfully

job history shows succeeded I checked failed jobs and the crawl failed once back on 7/2/2015 I think that was when I was creating the connector

should I use this

Get-SPLogEvent | Where-Object {$_.Level -eq [Information | Warning | Error | Critical | Verbose | Unexpected | Monitorable | High | Medium]}

which would you choose?

I believe this is all related

The Event Errors 5009 and 5011 did not appear until I was unable to load user profile on this site.

Another note tried on all computers same error
Tried all accounts  including farm account same error

HAve you tried any of the debugging operation suggested here?
https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc735271%28v=ws.10%29.aspx

ALso, the information in here may be relevant:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/975443

Specifically this part:
After IIS 7.0 or IIS 7.5 starts, Windows Process Activation Service (WAS) calls the LookupAccountName function to resolve account names on the local system. If no name is succesfully resolved, the LookupAccountName function tries to resolve account names by using domain controllers (DCs) trusted by the local system. Depending on the configuration of the DCs, the LookupAccountName query may take more than 30 seconds to be completed. In this situation, it takes a long time to start WAS. Additionally, W3SVC does not start because W3SVC depends on WAS.

Your W3SVC service appears to be available, so I doubt the hotfix is applicable, however the error reported does suggest that your SharePoint farm may be struggling to communicate with your DC.

Colly

1. Hotfix if for IIS 7 or IIS 7.5 I am using IIS 8.5 so yes not applicable

2. All my Application Pools are started and running

3. The W3SVC is also started and running

4. This is a small business network and there is no problem with access my DC's network wise unless it is a software issue I have not see the above two events again that happened just once

I really think SharePoint 2010 has serious issues I migrated from SharePoint 3.0 on a windows 2003 server and that version had no issues what so ever.
Ever since I upgraded to Windows 2012 platform and IIS 8.5 with SharePoint 2012 I have had more issues than I can remember and only on this one server I have the most  but this is my Web Server which I host other sites on

Just like the Dcom 10016 error on the other question I also am getting a error 1334 which has something to do with keyset does not exist see this
http://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/28695386/ASP-NET-Event-Error-1334-Please-help.html

I believe these are all related

This one stopped working after I created a connection for Active Directory in SharePoint which syncs my AD values with sharepoint accounts and this works both ways so I do not believe that sharepoint server is having issues with AD otherwise that sync would not work.

I also have other sharepoint sites that are working just this one mysite is not

HI Thomas,

Take a look at this answer:
https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/sharepoint/en-US/b2adefb0-a97f-4cc1-8504-fe0c609c063a/could-not-load-user-profile-sharepoint-2010

AS your user profile connection was not configured, perhaps and mysite host is not configured in User Profile Service Application ->
In the My Site Host section, in the My Site Host location box, enter the URL of the dedicated site collection in which personal sites are hosted,
: http://mysite.mydom.com/

Did you check this one:

To resolve this error, in Central Administration, do the following:

1.Click Application Management.

2.In the Web Applications section, click Manage web applications.

3.On the Web Application Management page, click the Web Application that hosts My Sites, and then, in the Manage section of the ribbon, click Service Connections.

4.In the Configure Service Connections Associations dialog box, ensure that a User Profile service application is selected and set as the default.

I had another question that was getting event errors 1334 5011 and 5009 repeatedly
I stopped this site mysite.mydom.com

No errors

Now since I was getting could not load user profile also I guess is that something major happened to this site.

My thinking now is to delete this site from SharePoint and then recreate it.

Do I need to be concerned about anything in deleting this site?

Deleing the site
recreating the site
creating new site collection

This took care of the issue
