Enhance Text of Printed Document - whiten backround

Say, Attached Hebrew picture of printed page doesn't print exceptionally clearly.
How can I Enhance the Text and whiten background to increase readability and print quality?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

GraphicsMagick is excellent (free!) imaging software:
http://www.graphicsmagick.org/

It is a fork of ImageMagick, which is also good, but I prefer GraphicsMagick.

This EE article shows how to download and install it:
http://www.experts-exchange.com/articles/18119/Reduce-the-file-size-of-many-JPG-files-in-many-folders-via-an-automated-mass-batch-compression-method.html

It has a ton of options, such as -enhance, -blur, -sharpen, -threshold, etc. Here is just example of a converted image with GraphicsMagick:

gm-enhanced
I recommend experimenting with its options to see what you can achieve. Regards, Joe

Tx - all quite involved with many options - can you please try one or two conversions. The attached file is very small - please attach for Printable quality. I'm currently only after this image

Yes, exactly. You could spend a lot of time experimenting.

I just checked the folder with my test results — I've already tried 14 conversions! :)

You said that the JPG you posted is a "picture of printed page". Do you have the source file of the page, such as a PDF or Word file?

Here are three conversions using a different product (the latest release of PaperPort 14):

enhanced1 via PP14enhanced2 via PP14enhanced3 via PP14
Is one of those satisfactory for you? Regards, Joe

P.S. There are actually many more options with GraphicsMagick, but I think PaperPort did a better job than any combination of options that I've tried so far with GraphicsMagick.
