local user account ASPNET can I change the password

We are going thru an audit and they want passwords that haven't been changed for over a year to be changed. We have a citrix farm xenapp 6.5 with 5 servers in it and each server has a local account ASPNET configured. What is this account used for? If I change the password for the account what else needs to be done to insure no issues arise?

Hi,

It's not recommended to change the ASP.NET password as this may cause IIS related issues. I assume you have some citrix related sites in IIS (I.e - PNAgent, Xenapp, XenAppWeb etc)?

Also, changing the asp.net password is not straight forward procedure as it's not changing like normal user password.

If you still want to change, you may need to uninstall and re-install ASP.NET.

Still, i am bit concerned about changing asp passwords.
