"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You should double check the Plone version.  It doesn't look like there was an official Plone 1.1 release and even if there had been there's little chance it would've been on Zope 2.9.  The release map is here:

A Zope 2.9 would probably be a Plone 2.5 release.  You can download a Plone 2.5.5 / Zope 2.9 windows install from here:

After getting it installed and running, adding a .zexp using the QuickImporter product is explained here:  It's been so many years ago since I ran a 2.5 instance that I can't remember whether QuickInstaller is part of a default install or not.  It probably isn't.  If it's not, you need to place your .zexp in the ./instance/import directory and use the Import/Export button on the ZMI manage page to load the zexp into your site.  That is explained here:
