how can i reduce the size or amount of log files in exchange 2010 sp3

Hi
we have exchange 2010 sp3 installed on vmware
we have 3 exchange server and we configured DAG
we backup the exchange data via EMC Microsoft module for networker
the backup and restore work well .
and it is look like after the backup finished . it delete the old last day log file automatically for example
the backup run at 10 pm at  8/7/2015 it delete the log for 7/7/2015 the backup run at 10 pm 9/7/2015  it delete  the logs for 8/7/2015
and i know the logs files very important to get incremental backup
but my problem that the log file very big and this make the backup size very big also we have around 70 G only log files
is there any way to reduce the log file size  or  reduce the exchange traffic
i don't know but the backup size so big just before one or two month the backup size used to be 15 G

anyone can help me to troubleshot why the back size and log size getting so big

and anyway reduce the log file size  or  reduce the exchange traffic

thanks in advice
sword

now for last 2 weeks 60 G  or 70 G

See DBs and log file increases when transactions are very high, if you have many users on a single DB then segregate them so transaction log file will be maintained and some of space can be utilized. Also create another DB on another storage drive.

Now please check what is white space available in your DB:

Get-mailboxdatabase <DBName> -Status | ft Name, AvailableNewMailboxSpace.

If it has lot of space then there is a workaround, but first confirm full size of edb and white space. this can also reduce your space.

Logs files are required for incremental backup, if you are agree to take only full backup once in a day then enable circular logging, it will overwrite logs accordingly but still this is not suggested for full recovery.

If its the log files that are big though, compressing the databases will free up some space in the short term, but the logs will still be large.
Can you move the logs onto separate drives? You'd be better off correctly sizing the drives for the amount of transactions the logs will be storing. (unless you're in the middle of a load of mailbox moves or something short term that would be causing abnormal amounts of logging)
If you're going to enable circular logging then do be aware of the restrictions/implications, especially if you use VSS backups.
