DTS Package

Hello Experts,
I have been asked to make changes to SQL Server DTS Package.  It looks complex at the first sight.  Please provide some instructions / links / book to start with.  I see there are VB scripts and SQL codes.  Important thing to know is how make changes to the code, editor  to use, etc. Thank you very much in advance.

Thank you!

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Just to 'check the box', DTS was last fully supported in SQL 2000, and only barely tolerated in SQL 2005, so to avoid any end-of-life support issues consider rewriting these DTS packages in another ETL language such as SSIS.  ETL technology has greatly increased since the days of DTS.

Please confirm if you're using DTS from SQL Server 2000 or they are DTSx packages from SQL Server 2005 or above?
