Gmail - Add Contact

I think Gmail has gotten crazy.

I just tried to add a contact and put in the email for the contact.

See attached. I clicked Add an Email; the pulldown showed several choices. I selected "Home". Then there is NO WAY to type in the email address.

Crazy. How do I do this? This is BASIC!!!!

Thanks

I wear a lot of hats...

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I am signed into Gmail; I went to Contacts, click the red icon on the lower right, got the screen I showed you previously. Entered Contact name, CANNOT enter an email address.

I'd send screen shot, but has names, emails & phone no's I don't want public.

Why did they screw this up SOOOOOO bad? It worked fine the last time I used it.

I'm thinking of dropping Gmail for this reason alone.

Of what value is it if you can't add contacts?

To amilie wilson,

That is EXACTLY what I did; it allows the name, NOTHING else.

It finally occurred to me to try to type the email address on top of where it says "Email Address".

It worked.

Good old Google, make everything as non-intuitive as possible.
