Upgrade Subscription from Business Essentials to Business Premium

I implemented Office 365 Business Essentials to my customer last week using open licensing.  They now want Business Premium.  I spoke to my Microsoft reseller and they said we could not upgrade the license.  Their recommendation is to buy a Office 365 Business license giving the user the full office suite.  Having both licenses would be equivalent to having Business Premium.  This doesn't sound like a valid solution.  Anyone have any suggestions?

I tried that.  When logging into the admin portal i see "No Switch Plans".  Looks like prepaid plans cannot be switched.  What garbage.

You could always contact MS Office 365 support and see if they are able to switch you.

Not sure what you would be able to attempt after that, might need to migrate to a new tenant with a different plan.
