visual studio creating forms

Gurus ,

i would like to create form , where data will be entered as forms through checklists , drop down menu and texts and files can be exported to excel if required. I can report in graphs if needed through this

Basically it is another microsoft access type , but to feel as modern UI .

Now question is , as i am beginner in this ,
1. Is it possible to make it in visual studio ?
2. Can visual studio save this in backend database whiich is excel , as the data's will be small ?
3. is it possible , there is forms that i can select multiple entries from two boxes , one on left has all the content and the right hand box you can select one from the left or all from the left using the arrows

Any templates or useful guide for beginner just to work on forms would be appreciated

Regards,
SID

Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Yes, Visual studio is flexible enough to create both web/windows based applications. there's no issues if you would like to export your content/data into Excel.

You can download and explore Visual Studio at this link:

My suggestion is don't save data into Excel, it's not really robust enough built to have DBMS architecture. You can try use MS SQL Express edition or Microsoft Access instead.

it's feasible, but depending on which tool you are going to use to built the interface, either it's Visual Basic Classic (VB6) or Visual Studio? These tools are different. Developers tend to use Visual Studio these days as VB6 was long obsoleted.
