Microsoft Exchange 2010 OWA

Exchange 2010 Webmail (OWA) site: is there a way to find out a historical user log in from internal and public access? When and what IP?
OWA but not the Active sync access
I'm using TMG for public access.

I need to track a user session of when, where or when this individual log in to OWA especially from the public side.

Any suggestion?

Thank you

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Exchange does not provide that, but IIS does. Check whether the IIS logs display something useful by looking into one of the logfiles (e.g. C:\inetpub\logs\LogFiles\W3SVC1\u_ex150710.log or similar). If so, use Log Parser and Log Parser Studio (, optionally additional scripts at to create and run queries as needed. For tests you should restrict the parsing to a single or a few log files only.

Thanks for the info. I did use parsel to run the query and able to drill down to user select but all I see is the user-agent connecting from an Apple iPhone device.

Is there a way to identify if a user account was use in a public (computer) browser to access OWA?

Please advice.
