"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Explain in more simple English what you are trying to pull off here.  An example will help.

Perhaps the solution file's paths for the various projects is different from where those project files are now.  This typically happens when files are moved or folders renamed or deleted.  Since .sln and .prj files are just text, you can always open them in a text editor and inspect the contents to verify.

sorry about the confusion, i am talking about the SSIS solution and  projects. for example,  i have a solution,  and the solution has SSIS project 1, 2 and 3. in sql server 2005 SSBI, we can only open project 1 without seeing project 2 or project3. but after MS change SSBI to SSDT  in sql server 2012. i see all projects although i just open project 1; to avoid confusion, can  i just open the project that i need?  thank you so much

afaik no, as SSBI and SSDT only allows you to open solutions, which contain projects, and not individual projects themselves.
