Hi  CalmSoul;

What are the rules to determine which ' characters needs to be modified seeming the ' character is also used in area where you do not want to replace them in.

For example it looks like a line from a csv file? So which columns will the ' character show up in that you want them to be replaced in, only in columns 3 and 5 for example. But if there are no rules then there is no way to know which one to replace.

Hello Fernando:

Actually this is line of SQL query ... I need to replace those ' within '   ' with '''' so I can insert them in the database

@CalmSoul;

You state the following, " I need to replace those ' within '   ' with '''' ", note from the two lines below that, JACK'S, but note that no space characters and another ' after it but yet you replaced it as shown in line two.  So the rule does not fit.

,'JACK'S Houses’ I','2323314',

,'JACK'''S Houses''’ I','2323314'
