RSA 8.5 web application

Hi,

I have RSA 8.5 on one of laptop. It has built in websphere server. I build simple 'dynaic web project' with simple JSPs and Servlet etc sample MVC application. When i try to deploy this WAR it is not not showing as the server expecting only EAR looks like. How to deploy WAR in RSA websphere application server? I do not want heavy EAR to be deployed for simple web spplication without EJB stuff.

Please advise

Websphere actually wraps WAR into EAR once you deploy it, so it is indifferent if you upload either

but when i right click on server it is not showing my web project under 'add remove projects' option though.

It shows other EAR project options instead?

You need to add WARs JARs and EARs into a new "web application" (at least 5 years ago it was so)

so deploy a simple web appliation in websphere it expects it as EAR format not WAR format. When i created dynamic web project i have not selected option to create EAR as well.

You need to create web application, then add WAR files there

You can upload WAR to websphere server. I have no clue what rational architect does or not.
