You have vMotion which is moving the VM (live) between hosts. (between datastores requires Storage vMotion)<br />

It's not. If you need Storage vMotion you will need a license for it, upgrade to vSphere Standard.<br />

VMware High Availability is the function in a cluster, if the host fails, all the VMs on that host are restarted on another host automatically.<br />
<br />
(there is approx 1-2 minutes of downtime).<br />

I receive a message saying storage vMotion is not licensed on the host when I attempt to migration. &nbsp;I am currently licensed for Essentials Plus. &nbsp;I recently upgraded from ESX 5 to 5.5. &nbsp;Not sure if this part of the problem or not but the license says vSphere 5. &nbsp;Does this need to be upgraded?<br />
