We are migrating out email to google apps for education, how do we point the voicemail from Exchange 2007 Unified messaging to google mail?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

In most instances, UC with Google Apps is not as robust as you may have configured with Exchange Unified Messaging.

Most simply have the switch/voicemail system email messages to Google Apps as an .WAV attachment.  If you can send in another format, like mp3, that's better as .WAV files rarely play properly in Chrome.

Third party tools like gUnify and ESNA can add additional features, depending on your switch.

Sending the email attachment means using SMTP on port 25 to Google Apps, or having the switch establish a secured connection.

With a bit more about your phone switch/service, and we can provide more detailed assistance.

We have been using exchange 2007 as our sole source of email and unified messaging.  We have migrated over to Google Mail receiving all external mail.  However, our domains are matching. (i.e. exchange is setup as domain.com and google is setup as domain.com)  Our external mx records are now pointed to the google servers.  What we need is a send connector to send our internal emails, which exchange thinks the users still reside on the server (they have to with Unified Messaging), to google mail.  Are we able to accomplish this with a send connector or something different?
