Using BMC Enterprise Security Station Console also known as MyIdentity..... Ver 5.6.00

Currently using older server running Windows 2003 Standard Edition Service Pack 2. Needing to move this application to another server, but can't find specs from vendor.

Does anyone have server spec information on what this app can function in?  We are looking at VM with OS 2008 or 2012, but want to make sure we don't over spec based on the version we are using.

Any insight about this or where I can get documentation would be great. Old environment, therefore not successful in finding our documentation and our software is on this server.

Thank you

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

According to this, 2012+ isn't supported: https://customerapps.bmc.com/spac/o/welcome.html
(doesn't mean it won't work, of course...). 2008 R2 is though.

The spec of the VM will depend to a certain extent on the hardware the host has. The best way to spec it is to look at what resources it uses (not what it has!) on the current server. The nice thing with a VM is that you can start small and easily increase the number of CPUs and amount of RAM and disk until you get it working successfully. Better to under-allocate initially and increase as required.
