Microsoft Virtual Machine Manager (VMM)

I am having some difficulty finding out if I can run VMM for 2012 R2 without having SCCM.....  Years ago I ran VMM 2008 stand alone without SCCM, but I cannot seem to find a definitive answer.....

All of the research I do points me back to an add-on module for SCCM, but I am not sure if that is just MS way of marketing to sell SCCM.....

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Here you go a quick deployment guide

No mention on SCCM, which is a different product, included in the suite!
