Exchange Mailbox goes blank

Dear Experts,

There is a shared mailbox on my exchange cluster that is now "blank" since last Friday. By blank, I mean that the account is still active but there are no emails at all in any folder.

When I send an email to this account, it arrives in the inbox folder. I tried looking for the history of this account ( there are a lot of people with full access and my first guess was someone deleted everyhintg) but was not able to find anything.

My question is the following: Can I restore this mailbox to a previous state ?

I tried Get-Mailbox Statistics but the information I received does not help (the mailbox is blank)
I have not tried New-MailboxRestoreRequest but how can I know that on my database a save was done ?

Couple of things that you can do...
- login to the shared mailbox (using OWA or Outlook)
- Try and use Recover Deleted Items (this by default will restore deleted items that are not older than 14 days)
- check for retension policies
- check mailbox rules to see if they are being deleted or moved to another folder

If you cannot restore any emails using the above methods then you will have to restore the mailbox from a backup.
