We are in the process migrating users from Exchange 2007 to 2013 one of the users received an error and did not migrate.  Below is the error message I received any ideas?

Error: MigrationPermanentException: Active Directory property ‎'homeMDB‎' is not writeable on recipient ‎'forsythlib.org/Materials/Users/tomk‎'. --> Active Directory property ‎'homeMDB‎' is not writeable on recipient ‎'forsythlib.org/Materials/Users/tomk‎'.

I have completed about 30 so far and just an issue with this one.

Thank you!

if you look at the security tab of the properties of the user account in AD, is the box checked to inherit permission from the parent?  if not, check it and try moving the mailbox again

This is most definitely a Inheritance permission issue on the account in Active Directory.

- Go to Security tab of the account in Active Directory
- Advanced window, ensure that inheritance is enabled

Thanks! No it wasn't checked I will try migrating again tonight.

Now it says it completed successfully but doesn't do anything, no error messages

Migration batch KimT071515 has completed successfully.
Synced:      None
Total mailboxes:      None

Windows Event Viewer Application log has:
Service MSExchangeMailboxAssistants. Probe Time Based Assistant for database Mailbox Database 1822271983 (5ae0ef6a-8776-4ec1-872f-ed1a5ef45ba3) reached a work cycle checkpoint (Duration: 00:00:00.0830786). 2 mailboxes were successfully processed. 0 mailboxes were skipped due to errors. 0 mailboxes were processed separately. 0 mailboxes were skipped due to failure to open a store session. 0 mailboxes were retried. There are 0 mailboxes remaining on this database which will be processed during the next workcycle checkpoints.
This was the fix: since it was part of a group migration go into the group and removed the failed mailbox(es).  Then do the migration again.  This mailbox now migrated without any errors.

I am giving both Seth and will 50% since the inheritance most likely was why it failed in the 1st place.
