Recommendations, articles or guide on migrating from Essentials 2012 to Standard 2012 R2

I have an upcoming server migration from Essentials 2012 to Standard 2012 R2 on new hardware.  I've never done this before so would really appreciate advice and/or links to good articles or a guide.   I've found a few articles and posts but nothing complete or detailing stepwise sequence.

Thank you

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Hi, you can read this:

This guide describes how to migrate from previous versions of Windows Small Business Server and Windows Server Essentials (including Windows Server 2012 Essentials, Windows Small Business Server 2011 Standard, Windows Small Business Server 2011 Essentials, Windows Small Business Server 2008, and Windows Small Business Server 2003) to Windows Server 2012 R2 Essentials or to Windows Server 2012 R2 with the Windows Server Essentials Experience role installed.

If you like essentials dashboard, I recomend to add Essentials Experience role to destination server.

I will give the TechNet article a try.  I will be doing this this weekend, so will let you know how it goes.  I could find nothing on or their website.

Thanks for the responses.
