Airprint over LAN-to-LAN VPN
Hi,
I have two sites connected over an Ipsec VPN lan-to-lan using Draytek Vigor 2860.
Site A ----------- IPSEC VPN------------------ Site B
| |
Ipads HP Airprint
Iphones
Users from site A would like to print using the Print function from IOS.
From Site A I can ping on the printers on Site B and access others network resources.
From Site B I can also ping on devices on Site A.
I understand the VPN tunnel is working fine, however there is something not allowing the IOS devices to see the printers. Is this something to do with Bonjour?
Is there any way to achieve this?
Thanks,
R

As John said AirPrint is a direct wireless printing protocol and will not work over a VPN. However if the iPad can connect to a wireless connection/router at site A you may be able to print to the IP of the remote printer using standard TCP/IP connection. The remote printer will need to use the VPN as its default gateway to respond to the connection.
