Latest update (15.0.4737.1003) breaks MS Project 2013 Pro: linking not working properly

I have two machines, one with MS Project 2013 Pro at this level: 15.0.4737.1003 and one at this level: 15.0.4727.1003 and linking is not working with the former. See below:

If I open the same file on the working machine, all is well, so it's not the file itself that is the problem. Any ideas? All was working well before the last batch of MS updates this week. Now sure what to check now... thx!

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Hi,

this looks as if the automatic scheduling would be switched off (you find this in File..Options..Scheduling). Please try a forced calculation first (hit the F9 key) to see if this solves the issue. Then set the calculation back to automatic.

Hope this helps

As it turns out, the problem was caused by an errant add-in, that when installed, forces this behavior. Uninstalling the add-in does not fix the problem, but reinstalling MS Project fresh does. So, case closed on this one! thx.

Turns out the problem was not with MS Project, but with an add-in.
