tmp file sassociated with lost files

is it possible to get any content back from tmp files, specific to a word document or excel spreadsheet.

Our users have lost some files (word docx2010 and xlsx excel 2010) from their machines, which are setup for "offline files/sync center. In the directory where the files have vanished, the original word or xlsx document has vanished, but there are tmp files which show MAC times around the dates the files vanished, so I wonder if they link to the files themselves. Any tips?

If its of any relevance the users machines are Windows 7 Enterprise.

Hi

Navigate to the folder that used to contain the file or folder, right-click it, and then click Restore previous versions.
