Can Windows Server 2012 be DNS Server without being DHCP server?
Hi all,
We have a very small network. Right now, we have our router (Asus 66U) performing the role of DHCP and DNS.
We seem to be having some DNS issues. Can we have the Server machine perform the role of DNS Server only?
Thanks in advance.

Yes, just install the DNS role and don't install the DHCP role.

Thank you. Is having DNS role w/o DHCP a recipe for disaster - given that we are a very small (less than 10 stations) network?
