Failure to install Windows 7 SP1

I am running Windows 7 Pro and cannot seem to install SP1.

I have tried the following to solve the issue, to no avail:

Installed the System Update Readiness tool.

As this must be a fresh installation anyway, something probably went wrong, and I'd just do the installation again as that is a quick procedure, then as one of the first things try installing the SP.
