Router to Access point

I have two similar scenarios.

There is a main Router/ Modem of timewarner (cable provider) is has DHCP.

I configure the routers to be used as Access point's (disable the DHCP ) and connect the connection coming from the source (main router/modem) to one of the ports .

It works well for a while every device connected get the IP from the main router/modem.

After a while , I get limited connection on the device . Restart / reboot the device it's ok for a while then again it happens.

Please suggest.

What's you Router as AP model

some home AP or Router Products have maximum number of concurrent wireless clients from 7-15

so i think when you reach this limit you faced the problem

Thats not the issue ,

At that time only one person is connected, and it the high end of routers.

But only one person is connected.
